# Photo

This is the standard capture mode. In this mode, you can take single photographs. All photographic parameters are available, and you can take photos in JPEG as well as in DNG (RAW) format simultaneously if your device supports it. Each time you press the shutter button, either a single image (if you are capturing in JPEG or PNG) will be recorded, or two (if you also enabled simulaneous capture in JPEG and DNG, in this case both images will be taken from the exact same capture).

Background processing

Images are saved in the background, so you can keep taking photos regardless of the time it takes for the app to save them to your internal storage or memory card. If you close the app while images are still pending to be saved, you will see a notification informing you of the images still pending to be written. This notification will automatically dismiss itself once all images are saved.

If you need to take bursts of photos, use the Burst camera mode. For taking multiple photos with different exposure times at the same time, you can use the Bracketing camera mode. The Intervalometer camera mode lets you take photos at regular time intervals automatically. Finally, with the Synthetic exposure camera mode you can take long exposure photos regardless of the maximum exposure limit of your device.
